PROCEDURE FOLLOWED FOR OUTDOOR AND INDOOR PATIENTS

 

Patient seen in O.P.D. by the Psychiatrist will follow the following procedure depending on the nature of illness:

 

a. Patient may need to consult regularly in O.P.D. and take pharmacological treatment alone.

 

b. If required patient may be referred to Clinical Psychologist for certain Psychometric Tests, and treatment may begin after reports. 

 

c. Few patients may require only psychological intervention so they will be treated by Psychologist alone.

 

d. In few patients, certain investigation  may be required before the treatment is begun like Blood Chemistry, E.E.G.,X-Ray, E.C.G., C.T Scan etc.
